Our Botanicals
The secret to Willem Barentsz gin comes from our unique blend of ingredients.

Delicately crafted in small batches in London, Willem Barentsz creates a rare split-base gin from a combination of carefully sourced wheat and rye grains.
The dryness of the rye combined with the fuller, softer flavours of the wheat creates a smoother, cleaner spirit.

Step 1 - Source Ingredients

We source our wheat from the UK and our rye spirit from Central Europe, and both are GM free grain. The dryness of the rye combined with the fuller, softer flavours of the wheat creates a smoother, cleaner spirit. This is then infused with a delicate balance of our botanicals, sourced from around the world.

Step 2 - Rectifying the Spirit

The spirit is rectified in a pot still, and the botanicals are left overnight in the still to macerate (infuse) before distillation starts in the morning.

Infused with a delicate balance of our botanicals and an unexpected twist of exotic Jasmine flowers.

Step 3 - Producing Distillate

Finally, the rectified (neutral) spirit is column distilled to produce the gin distillate.
